Becky McBeath

Becky McBeath is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire Law School (formerly Franklin Pierce Law Center) and Randolph-Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg, VA. Before moving to New Hampshire in 1989, she worked on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., as a Legislative Assistant for Congressman Rick Boucher (VA-9th) and Governor Gerry Baliles.

A member of the NH Bar since 1993, Becky focuses her practice primarily in the areas of Family law, including parental rights & responsibilities, child support, and alimony, Guardianships of Adults & Minors, Landlord Tenant issues and is a Certified Guardian ad Litem in the Superior, Probate, District and Family Courts. While experienced in litigation, she also offers the opportunity for clients to settle their conflicts outside of the courtroom setting by participating in the Collaborative Law Process. This alternative dispute resolution technique has proven to reduce legal fees and better preserve positive relationships between those facing legal disagreements.

A resident of Portsmouth, Becky is committed to community service, dedicating at least 10% of her annual practice to pro bono client services. She has been an active member of her children's parent teacher organization elected to position of school wide leadership and served in various capacities in regional non-profit organizations. In 2000, she received the Award for Excellence for her volunteer work from the Greater Portsmouth Educational Partnership Council.
